October 2026 Update

Demolition and rehab at Koral and Divan’s new house.

It has been a very active summer on the home front. With Koral, Divan and family living here, we are at 13 people and 3 dogs, so it’s never quiet or dull. They bought a house about a mile away that needs loads of work, so all of the free time for everyone has gone into demolition and rehab. It will be lovely when all is finished! It has been so wonderful having them with us and then having them live so close to us will be such a treat!

Celebrating 40 years together.

Celebrating 40 Years

The highlight of this spring/summer was a trip of a lifetime for Tammy and me as we were able to get away and celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary alone without any kids or grandkids! We had a fantastic time. We were able to relax quite a bit, and we also had many opportunities for sharing the gospel and praying for people. My favorite part was being approached by people and having them say, “I heard you pray for people, could you pray for me?” We were even asked to pray over a couple’s business and their employees. We prayed for one of our new friends who said, “I can’t wait to get home and tell my husband that God is real.” It was great to get away with Tammy to celebrate 40 years of walking this road together.

Local Ministry

Our work at One Voice (the church we attend) is growing, I (Roger) have become a deacon. Deacon just means servant. I also oversee the community feeding program every Thursday, where we distribute food to 25-30 families in the community. One Voice is also doing a shoe drive for school children and their families run through Kingdom Partners called, “Soles for Souls.” We are collecting new or gently used shoes for needy families for the school year. One of the schools approached us with a list of what they needed for the kids, and we want to help out the adults as well.

Family Update

Sarah’s graduation from Indian Trail High School.

Grace, 20, is still nannying 3 kids from 2 families and is taking driving school to get her driver’s license. Sarah,18, graduated from Indian Trail High School in May; she is now in a three-year program at the Boys and Girls Club which is an extension of the highschool that will seek to teach her basic life skills such as doing laundry, shopping, riding the bus, and some basic work skills. She will do this Monday through Thursday. Some of you may remember that due to brain damage caused by her being shaken too hard as an infant, she has challenges that make her socially and intellectually more like a 9-year-old.

Zeke, 15, enjoyed his summer break and began his 10th grade year in September. He’s a bit sad because the laws in WI will not let him play soccer at the local high school since he is homeschooled through a virtual public school (even though it is 3+ hours away and VIRTUAL so they have no sports teams). It was a bit frustrating because they told us when we signed him up for the school he would be able to play. (He is still on the RUSH club team, but they only do the spring season once the kids get into high school because they assume the kids will play for their schools.)

Feeding Africa: Kijabe and Amani Haven

April 2026 marked six years of the Feeding Africa program as it continues to feed peoples’ bellies and their souls. We are grateful for all of you who have given and prayed over the years. The program in Kijabe could use some prayers as the girls’ home (Amani Haven) is finished, but there have been some bumps in the road in taking in the first three girls due to the government needing proof of sponsorship for any of the girls until they are old enough to live on their own. The girls are current living with an elderly grandmother whom we help with food and whatever else we can do. I don't understand how it all works, but we are trying to do it all legally so please be praying that the girls will be able to move in soon and that Margaret (and Kingdom Partners) can care for them with the love of Jesus and meet their needs.

Feeding Africa: Machakos

The garden at the shamba in Machakos.

Our second program is in Machakos, where we were able to purchase a plot of land years ago in order to help it all to be sustainable. There are chickens, rabbits and a garden of vegetables planted! The current project there is raising enough money to put a fence around the whole plot to keep the chickens (and eventually goats) in and the wild animals out. As funds allow, we will also be putting up a structure for the family who is running it all to be able to move onto the shamba (plot of land) to keep things going smoothly and better be able to care for the critters and garden. Our friend there is able to go back to Mathare once each month to help with a program for young girls with hygiene packets to help them stay in school. When she travels back, she is able to see many of the people she grew up with as well as help in small ways as she is able.

Prayer and Support

Please continue to pray for Kingdom Partners and the feeding programs as we continue to meet needs in these parts of Kenya.

Psalms 41:1 “Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The Lord rescues them when they are in trouble.” NLT

Pray for increased financial support as the money we send does not go as far due to increased prices. Just a reminder that all gifts given to the Feeding Africa program go 100% to feeding these people in desperate need of food. If you are interested in helping support the ministry, please click the link below to give online. If you are giving by check, please send your check to the address listed below; do not put our name on the check, but make checks payable to Kingdom Partners Global. All checks will go towards our personal support and the cost of running KPG unless stated otherwise. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes.
